Scale is as Scale does

We have had a lot of questions about the miniature scale of Aetherium, and it’s a surprisingly challenging question to answer. On the one hand, the measurements are concrete units, but on the other, most companies seem to use their described scale as much suggestion as description. It makes matters rather peculiar at times. And so, it seems as is so often the case, we are best to simply show rather than to tell.

Enjoy. We had a bit of fun with these as you will gather.

D&D Chthu... didn't see that coming

brains? we had a lot of comments at AdeptiCon that these minis would make great survivors

can't help but feel this should come with a soundtrack

who was in charge of scale on this one?

wee, sleekit, cowrin, tim'rous beastie

keep in mind that he's on his toes. I'd give her even odds.

In sum... Aetherium is 32mm and very nearly true scale. We call it “very nearly” because we have exaggerated a few details and connection points purely for the strength and integrity of the models. Otherwise, I think you'll see we fit a number of very good comparative miniature scales.

And why not...

Ah, miniature scale, the old argument where in the end most gamers give up and just say (holding their thumb and forefinger an inch or so apart) 'this big!' Jokes aside, those minis are looking great!
